Growing nutritive cash crops in a controlled environment, knowing the appropriate quantities of primary plant growth parameters like light, water, temperature, moisture and nutrients.

VALUE PROPOSITION:

An aesthetically-pleasing Indoor gardening design that will assist Household Indoor Gardeners in growing healthy, locally sourced high-value cash crops limiting to 30% of space compared to other products by continuous monitoring of the plant maturation cycle, unlike conventional gardening practices that only produce micro-greens.

PRODUCT INNOVATION CONCEPT WITH SPECIFICATIONS:

The concept is a mushroom-shaped growth box. It has a base with pods. A pod is a cylinder shaped container with the growth medium inside. The pod size is of 10-15cm height and 6cm in diameter with a 5cm height capillary tube beneath it fitted with a capillary material inside that absorbs water to the pod. This capillary action helps the growth medium in the pod to maintain the soil moisture level. Water can be filled once in a month according to the need which is indicated by the water level indicator in the application provided and the growth box itself. A circularly shaped hose pipe lies along the inner diameter of the base so as to aerate the water to minimise the chances of the algal formation. From the inner diameter rises a protrusion that adjusts the height of the top portion of the growth box with-holding the grow light LEDs. The top portion has different coloured LEDs (red(660nm), Blue(450nm), UV and IR) that is used for the root growth, intense photosynthesis, stem growth, flowering and chlorophyll production.
